Home Injury Control
Determination of safe living environment, purchase of equipment for eligible senior citizens to reduce/prevent potential injury, includes but may not be limited to grab bars for shower/bath, transfer benches, elevated toilet seats.
Weekly visits (as available) to assist the physically challenged senior citizen with instrumental activities of daily living; light housekeeping, laundry, shopping/errands for consumer.
Assists individuals with equipment such as shower chairs, canes, walkers, wheelchairs and commodes. Community Action Agency also welcomes donations of equipment.
This program provides nutritious meals that are delivered daily, human contact, support and nutrition for seniors who are in ill health and homebound.
The Senior Citizen Nutrition Program operates out of 13 centers throughout the tri-counties to provide low-cost, nutritious meals.
In-home assistance with (ADL) activities of daily living for individuals includes: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, eating, and ambulation.
Multiple visits as contracted for by consumer/family, assistance with ANY aspects of independent living status, actual service is determined by consumer (when applicable) of family member.
Weekly visits to relieve primary caregiver, includes supervision, companionship, and assistance with activities of daily living.
Intake/Needs Assessment provided to consumer on a bi-annual basis at no charge. Includes referral and recommendations to supportive resources as necessary.
Drop off centers in Chippewa and Mackinac counties, relieving caregivers to memory loss clients. Includes: supervision, activities, meals are provided, and cost sharing components. Contact CLMCAA for service days and hours.
