Senior's Services

The Chippewa -Luce-Mackinac Community Action Agency offers a variety of programs to serve the needs of Senior Citizens in the Tri-County Area.  These programs are designed to enhance the quality of life of the elder citizen by providing services to reduce isolation, provide assistance and advocate on their behalf.

Eligibility

  • Must be 60 years of age or older

  • Be the spouse of someone who is 60 years of age or older

  • Income eligibility for some programs

 

Priority is given in all programs offered to senior citizens who have the greatest need, disabilities, and minority.

Categories of Services

Senior Services are classified into three categories: In Home Services, Access Services and Community Services.

 

Can only be offered to a senior who is handicapped, limited in activities of daily living, physically or mentally unable to perform specific tasks, or has acute or chronic health conditions.  Services provided include:  Personal Care, Respite Care, Homemaker Aide, Home Delivered Meals, and Telephone Reassurance.

Services provided:  Case Coordination and Support, Information Referral, Outreach, Congregate Meals, and numerous Senior Centers throughout the Tri-County area

Chippewa-Luce-Mackinac Community Action Agency operates 15 senior center in the tri-county area.  These centers act as a focal point for senior services and allow for access to those services.  The senior center is a community facility where older people can come together for services and activities that enhance their dignity, support their independence, and encourage their involvement in and with the community.

SENIOR CENTERS

Chippewa-Luce-Mackinac Community Action Agency operates 13 senior centers in the tri-county area.  These centers act as a focal point for senior services and allow for access to those services.  The senior center is a community facility where older people can come together for services and activities that enhance their dignity, support their independence, and encourage their involvement in and with the community.

 

A relaxing atmosphere where seniors can come together for lunches and activities!!

Community Action is a strong advocate for the rights and concerns of senior citizens.

We encourage cooperation between individuals, agencies, families and friends to enhance the life and better the living conditions of older citizens.
